As you build campaigns, naming conventions will be important when trying to manage all your messaging. We recommend trying to be as specific as possible so you can recognize your campaign in other areas of the app such as reporting.
Tags are a great way for you to be even more specific when identifying your campaigns in the future. Adding tags are simple. Just click the button and you will see a list of tags already generated, or you can go ahead and create a new one. Note: When creating a new tag, you must click save or the tag will not be created.
Target customers that match a segment
You can target your customers that match a predefined segment you have already created or you can go ahead and create a new segment inline. When you are done loading or creating your segment, click the apply button to successfully apply the segment to your campaign.
Target customers that match an event
Targeting your customers based on events is an extremely powerful way to reach your customers in real time as they do certain things in your app. You can load your existing expressions here or you can head over to analyze > expressions and create a new one. Take “Sign Up” for example. When a customer matches the event “Sign Up” you can send an email welcoming them to your site.
Programmatically send customers app push notifications by issuing HTTP requests containing your credentials, campaign identification, message, and customer id to a Zaius endpoint.
Add constraints to be more specific
Sometimes segmentation is not enough and you need to be more granular or strategic in your marketing approach. Constraints empower you to do just that.
When applying a constraint, be sure to review your reachable audience as it may change.
Schedule your campaign to be one-time, recurring or continuous.
Send the communication exactly once.
Send Date: Date to send
Send Time: Time to send. HH24:MM [AP]M
Time Zone: Time zone to start the send in
Time Zone Sending!
Use recipient's time zone when available: If this is selected, the "one-time" send in fact will send at the specified time in each customers' own time zone. The very first time zone to send will be the time zone selected in the Timing step, followed by all time zones in order until looping back around to the selected time zone. Any customers for whom a time zone is unknown will receive the communication in the time zone specified in the Timing step.
Send the communication in a repeating fashion.
Start Date: Date to start the campaign
- Never: Never stop sending.
- After [#] occurrences: The last send will be the #th occurrence.
- On: The date entered here will be the last date that sends. If "use recipient's time zone when available" is selected, the last time zone to send will be the last time zone of the last day of sends; this last day of sends will begin on the selected date in the selected time zone (e.g., if Timing is specified as 3:00PM US/Eastern and the last date is set to 2016-01-01, then the last day of sends will begin at the 3:00PM US/Eastern on 2016-01-01, which means the very last time zone to send will in fact send around 24 hours later on 2016-01-02).
Repeats: Depending on the selection made here, different fields will become available. These are marked below as Daily (D), Weekly (W), and Monthly (M) accordingly.

Send the communication as customers qualify for the segment. This can be used, e.g., to send welcome emails soon after a new customer registers on your website.

Scheduling is only available when you are targeting a segment.
Touchpoints are where you select your channel and add content.
Like campaigns, we recommend being specific when naming a touchpoint. This will help you identify the touchpoint in the future.
Zaius offers 3 channels to target your customers. Only one channel can be active at a time. After selecting your channel and adding content, save your touchpoint. To learn more about the Zaius email editor (ZED) please read here.
This mode is used for testing to help determine which customers would receive which campaign communications on which days without actually sending any live communications.
Turn On Channels
Currently you can only have 1 channel on at a time. Be sure to turn your channel on to successfully configure a touchpoints channel.
Activating & Pausing Campaigns
Once you have completed configuring your campaign and touchpoint, you will be ready to go live with your campaign. Click the "Go Live" button on the campaign creation screen. If something is missing, Zaius will let you know to ensure you have everything filled out.
When your campaign is set to live, touchpoints will begin sending out. If at any point you need to stop the campaign, click the pause button at the top.
