A best practice in marketing campaigns is to use a customers first name to add a personalized element to your campaign. 

In ZED, you can use the following token to dynamically add a customers first name to your campaign if Zaius has a value stored in the First Name field for the recipient. 

{{customer.first_name}} 

If you'd like to add a customers entire name to an email and you have a value stored in the "name" field - you can use the token: {{customer.name}} 

To add a default value, you can use the following format: {{customer.first name | default: 'there' }} 

Note: if first name or name is a null value, there will be a blank space which appears in the campaign - no code will render in the campaign upon sending.
